And I Darken By Kirsten White Review

And I Darken by Kiersten Whit

Synopsis :

NO ONE EXPECTS A PRINCESS TO BE BRUTAL. And Lada Dragwlya likes it that way. Ever since she and her gentle younger brother, Radu, were wrenched from their homeland of Wallachia and abandoned by their father to be raised in the Ottoman courts, Lada has known that being ruthless is the key to survival. She and Radu are doomed to act as pawns in a vicious game, an unseen sword hovering over their every move. For the lineage that makes them special also makes them targets.

Lada despises the Ottomans and bides her time, planning her vengeance for the day when she can return to Wallachia and claim her birthright. Radu longs only for a place where he feels safe. And when they meet Mehmed, the defiant and lonely son of the sultan, who’s expected to rule a nation, Radu feels that he’s made a true friend—and Lada wonders if she’s finally found someone worthy of her passion.

But Mehmed is heir to the very empire that Lada has sworn to fight against—and that Radu now considers home. Together, Lada, Radu, and Mehmed form a toxic triangle that strains the bonds of love and loyalty to the breaking point.

Review :

Amazing !! It was a world-wind of beautiful places , and phenomenal characters. White created such an unique and intriguing plot and world. I couldn't turn pages fast enough . Lada Dragwlya was so unique and different than most heroines, she was raw, kick butt and fierce . Radu was handsome , lovely , and tender. Mehmed oh sweet Mehmed, I just loved his character and how real he was.
The book started as Lada and Radu young and followed them as they grew and traveled. It was so cool and creative.
I want more and can not wait for the next one !!!
5/5 Stars

My Review:
Ahh Dumplin' was such a refreshing read. Julie Murphy did an amazing job touching on sensitive topics , new relationships, and friendships. The book did not lack humor nor did it lack some romance. I loved Willowdean she was an amazing character and strong. The story flowed all together making the pages easier to turn faster and faster. 5/5 Stars!! However I want more, way more! The cover says it all " Go Big or Go Home"

Unexpected Everything by Morgan Matson Review

The Unexpected Everything
By Morgan Matson

Synopsis (Goodreads) -
Andie had it all planned out.

When you are a politician’s daughter who’s pretty much raised yourself, you learn everything can be planned or spun, or both. Especially your future.

Important internship? Check.

Amazing friends? Check.

Guys? Check (as long as we’re talking no more than three weeks).

But that was before the scandal. Before having to be in the same house with her dad. Before walking an insane number of dogs. That was before Clark and those few months that might change her whole life.

Because here’s the thing—if everything’s planned out, you can never find the unexpected.

And where’s the fun in that?

My Review-
Unexpected Everything Is unique and a very fast read. At the first chapter I was not sure if I was going to enjoy the book but after the first chapter it took off. The plot picked up and the characters started to develop. A very summery and Contemporary read. The book ended and I was okay with it because it had everything It needed to make it a good book. The only thing I wanted little more of was to like the main love interest. I wanted just little more from his character but saying that I still liked him and his character. I loved Andie's friends and the adventures they shared and there relationship. I felt like I was there friend too, they were fun , amazing , and very relatable.
It was a summer of new things and also very unexpected things.

My Lady Jane Review

My Lady Jane

Synopsis  ( goodreads)-

The comical, fantastical, romantical, (not) entirely true story of Lady Jane Grey. In My Lady Jane, coauthors Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton, and Jodi Meadows have created a one-of-a-kind fantasy in the tradition of The Princess Bride, featuring a reluctant king, an even more reluctant queen, a noble steed, and only a passing resemblance to actual history—because sometimes history needs a little help.
At sixteen, Lady Jane Grey is about to be married off to a stranger and caught up in a conspiracy to rob her cousin, King Edward, of his throne. But those trifling problems aren’t for Jane to worry about. Jane gets to be Queen of England.
Like that could go wrong.
    My review:
Truth . I guess I had no idea what this book was about . I thought I had an idea but when I showed up to the signing and heard the authors talking about it I realized it was totally different than I thought it was.
But. It wasn't a bad thing. At all , it was probably better that way , because I had no idea what the book was really about so when I opened it up my head was ready for anything new.
Love. I loved this book. It was refreshing , humorous , and magical . I throughly enjoyed it . However it was different and the characters were very unique . My Lady Jane has three different perspectives making the book different , interesting and complex . It flowed wonderfully , you would never be able to tell three authors wrote it . Saying that I finished it in four days and it was 500 pages.
Get ready.  Get ready for a man that is a horse ... But that's all I'm going to give to you.
Go get the book and read it !!!
